Dear visitor,

Welcome to my webpage. I am Johannes Boegershausen, an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

My research examines marketplace morality, polarized sentiments, and well-being, often from a social-cognitive perspective. The goal of my research is to explore how and why certain cues in the marketplace lead us to perceive others, such as employees or other consumers, differently and prompt socially (un-) desirable behaviors toward them. Additionally, I am also working on various metascientific projects with the goal of improving research practices (e.g., how to ensure the validity of web data collected at scale). My work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Journal of the Association for Consumer Research.

At the Rotterdam School of Management, I teach the third-year undergraduate minor The Art of Choosing: Making Choices that Maximize Happiness and the M.Sc. elective Brand Development.

All the best,

Johannes Boegershausen
